WAYNE, NJ - The Mainardi Management Co. today announced the acquisition of the Shops at Windsor Green, a 157,463 square foot Shopping Center located on Route 1 in Princeton, New Jersey, by an affiliate of that company.
The center is anchored by a 51,500 square foot Pathmark Supermarket, a 30,800 square foot Marshall's clothing store, a 23,700 square foot Staples office supply store which recently expanded and a 11,400 square foot Zany Brainy. Other tenants include a Marty's Shoes, The Avenue, Pizza Hut, Wendy's and Dunkin Donuts.
The Shops at Windsor Green was constructed in 1993 and was originally developed by DKM Properties of Lawrenceville, New Jersey. The Seller of the Shopping Center was National Resources of Greenwich, Connecticut, an affiliate of Aldrich, Eastman & Waltch, a large pension advisor with offices in Boston and Los Angeles. The sales price for the property was $19.8 Million.
Andy Merin and David Bernhaut of Cushman & Wakefield acted as the real estate brokers for the transaction, and Andrew Stewart and Devyani Gupta of David Cronheim Mortgage Corporation were the mortgage brokers. The mortgage itself was provided by Bear Stearns.
Blake Hornick of Pryor Cashman Sherman & Flynn in New York and Gary Eisenberg of Windels Marx Lane & Mittendorf in New Brunswick, New Jersey, acted as outside counsel to Mainardi Management during the transaction.
The Mainardi Management Company is a family owned and operated real estate investment, management and leasing company located in Wayne, New Jersey. The company currently manages 11 commercial properties totaling 940,000 square feet and aggregating approximately $85 Million in value.
